West Virginia Civic Health Index

West Virginia’s Civic Health Index is a partnership of the National Conference on Citizenship, the West Virginia Secretary of State’s Office, and the West Virginia Community Development Hub.

The Secretary of State’s Office and the West Virginia Community Development Hub believe every community has the tools to develop economic opportunities and jobs; optimal health conditions; attractive and inspiring community environments; bright futures for young people, and citizens who believe they deserve these things and are prepared to work together to get them.

Civic engagement outreach is a direct charge and pillar of the Secretary of State’s work, and looking at this data prompts valuable discussions and supports outreach activities.
