The National Conference on Citizenship (NCoC) is excited to announce the full agenda for the 2024 conference, set for December 10 at Planet Word in Washington, DC. This year’s theme, “Renewing Civic Health,” will guide a robust program that brings together leading voices in democracy, public health, media, climate resilience, and civic engagement.

Attendees will have the opportunity to hear from prominent speakers, including Katherine Maher, CEO of NPR; Sam Feist, Dr. Jeanine Abrams McLean, President of Fair Count; and former Congresspeople Rep. Val Demings and Rep. Rodney Davis, as they address key challenges and opportunities in strengthening civic life. The conference includes sessions on vital topics such as measuring civic health, fostering community resilience, improving civic media, and building effective community engagement practices.

Key sessions include a launch of the 100th Civic Health Index, a discussion on the essential role of the U.S. Census, and the unveiling of a new Civic Information Index aimed at supporting local journalism. Attendees can also look forward to a special awards ceremony celebrating leaders who have demonstrated exceptional dedication to advancing citizenship.
