Join a growing network of local organizations strengthening civic connection

Trusted local organizations are essential to helping communities engage in community conversation and civic participation. That’s why we’re thrilled and honored to announce that the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation has committed $150,000 to expand the American Conversation Project (ACP) in Knight communities across the country.

Knight Foundation is known for its place-based investments in communities where it has made a long-term commitment to fostering informed, engaged, and connected residents. Through this investment, ACP is inviting organizations in Knight communities to help residents share their experiences, strengthen community connections, and contribute to a growing national portrait of life in America.

If your organization serves one of the following Knight communities, we’d love to hear from you:

  • Long Beach, CA
  • San Jose, CA
  • Boulder, CO
  • Bradenton, FL
  • Miami, FL
  • Palm Beach County, FL
