The National Conference on Citizenship is pleased to announce that registration is now open for our 2025 annual conference, taking place on September 16, 2025 at the Planet Word Museum in Washington, DC.
Building Civic Resilience
This year’s theme focuses on communities across America seeking ways to strengthen civic infrastructure and rebuild trust in democratic processes. The conference will bring together hundreds of leaders from government, philanthropy, nonprofits, media, and community organizations to share proven approaches for strengthening civic health.
“The challenges we face today require resilient civic infrastructure that can weather polarization and sustain democratic participation,” said Cameron Hickey, CEO of NCoC. “Our 2025 conference will provide practical tools, foster critical partnerships, and showcase successful models that communities can implement.”
What to Expect
Conference attendees will engage with:
Practical workshops on building resilient civic infrastructure
Cross-sector partnership development opportunities
Evidence-based approaches to measuring civic health
Connections with potential funders and implementation partner
The 2025 conference builds on the success of our 2024 gathering, which welcomed over 200 attendees from across the country. We will focus on discussions and strategies for strengthening democracy, improving civic health, and ensuring community resilience.
