THE ARIZONA WE HAVE

A few weeks ago, the National Conference on Citizenship (NCoC) provided the Center with the 2016 data for the Arizona Civic Health Index. Arizona has typically ranked in the nation’s bottom quartile on most indicators since NCoC began tracking civic health. This year is no exception.

Census Advisory Committee Continues Work with Support from NCOC

The Independent Census Scientific Advisory Committee, or I-CSAC, held its first meeting on September 18, 2025, marking a pivotal moment for data integrity, scientific rigor, and civic health. The committee’s reformation comes after the U.S. Commerce Department eliminated the Census Scientific Advisory Committee last winter.
