The National Conference on Citizenship is excited to announce our premier event. The 2023 Annual Conference on Citizenship: The Future of Citizenship will be held in Washington, D.C. on November 30th in partnership with the National Civic League and sponsored by the Charles F. Kettering Foundation.

In recent years, we have witnessed a dramatic increase in the power and impact of technology on our daily lives and on our democracy. Social media algorithms and artificial intelligence are transforming how we live, work, vote, interact, and get news and information; leading to tremendous impacts on liberty, equity, inclusion, and belonging. To help make sense of the role of technology in our civic life, the 2023 Annual Conference on Citizenship will convene a wide range of civic leaders, practitioners, elected officials, and technology experts to explore how we can shape the future of citizenship.

The conference will also feature a preview of the “Healthy Democracy” map, produced by the National Civic League, showing the constellation of organizations working to strengthen democracy in America.

Official registration for the Conference will open in the coming weeks. Sign up for updates on the 2023 Annual Conference on Citizenship here.
