Revolution LLC and The Case Foundation

We are seeking a talented communications professional to support strategic communications initiatives for three exciting organizations and initiatives, including Revolution LLC, an investment firm focused on building disruptive, consumer-facing businesses; the Case Foundation, founded by Steve and Jean Case in 1997 to reflect their family’s commitment to addressing complex social challenges; and the Startup America Partnership, an organization focused on accelerating the creation and development of high-growth potential companies in the U.S.​

This search is for an energetic, business-oriented, organized and informed communicator with an understanding of new media and social technologies.​ The Communications Coordinator will report to the Vice President of Communications.​ Together they will focus their efforts on communications strategy, media and blogger relations, internal communications and raising the profile of all three organizations and their leadership.​

Specific responsibilities include:

· Monitor and track media developments related to both organizations.​

· Provide support to the organizations’ social media efforts.​

· Maintain speaking opportunities and conference calendar; assist in development of preparation materials for key executives’ speaking appearances.​

· Assist in research for and drafting externally and internally targeted communications, draft online media outreach tools, including media kits, and press releases.​

· Interact with and direct agency assets related to media relations, conference participation and staff speaking opportunities.​

· Research media outlets and develop media and blogger outreach lists as appropriate

· Provide support for organization websites, including: coordinate and implement requests from all departments on changes or additions to the public website.​

Requirements:

· BA in Communications, English, Journalism or related field.​

· One to two years of professional communications, public relations and marketing experience

· Experience in organizations requiring high energy, flexibility and multitasking.​

· Excellent writing and public speaking skills; attention to detail.​

· Computer proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Office and basic data entry skills

· Aptitude to learn basic html, web-based tools and software programs, graphic design and desktop publishing applications

· Experience with social media tools.​

· Enthusiasm for the business and nonprofit sectors and the intersection of both.​
