NCoC launched the first ever Civic Data Challenge in April 2012. The Challenge was launched by NCoC to bring new eyes, minds, findings, and skill sets to ‘civic health’ data – information that shows how citizens are participating in their neighborhoods, communities and democracy. The Challenge served as a launching pad to inspire others to create engaging tools and applications.
NCoC is constantly exploring new avenues of information to improve the civic health of our nation. An exciting way to visually showcase this civic vitality is a new tool we’ve been developing called an “infographic.” NCoC will illustrate this concept and tool during a webinar entitled “Visualizing Civic Health: Maximizing Impact through Infographics” on August 1, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. Eastern.
