Jamie Engel is a Program Director at the National Conference on Citizenship. She has spent her career as a tireless advocate for public service and civic engagement. In addition to her work at NCoC, Jamie is the Campaign and Advocacy Facilitator at the Harvard Institute of Politics. Previously, Jamie was the Program & Development Manager at Democracy Entrepreneurs and the Chief of Staff and Finance Director at Alan Khazei for Congress. Before joining the Khazei Campaign, Jamie had the privilege of teaching 7th and 8th grade English Language Arts in Lynn, Massachusetts. She also worked for Congressman Seth Moulton as his Deputy Finance Director and for Students for Education Reform as the Massachusetts State Program Director.
Jamie was born and raised in Denver, Colorado and graduated with honors from Boston University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and History and a Master’s Degree in Education. She currently lives in East Boston.
