Eric K. Federing AM, of Maryland, serves as Honorary Director of the National Japanese American Memorial Foundation, which is focused on Washington, DC’s National Japanese American Memorial to Patriotism in World War II. Federing was a Director of the Foundation from 2003 to 2013. He has been listed in Who’s Who in America annually since 2000 and Who’s Who in the World since 2015. He served for a dozen years as a senior advisor in the United States Senate and House of Representatives, and is a graduate of George Washington University, Phi Beta Kappa.
Internationally, Eric created the non-partisan Uni-Capitol Washington Internship Programme in 1999, which he continues to direct pro bono and through which Australian university students are matched to select congressional offices annually for two-month internships. UCWIP has been the focus of dozens of statements in the Congressional Record and two Floor speeches in the Australian Parliament. On May 27, 2015, the Governor-General of Australia appointed Eric as a Member in the Order of Australia.
